Users can communicate with friends and other users through private or public messages and a chat feature.
Facebook allows anyone who declares themselves to be at least 13 years old to become a registered user of the website.A January 2009 Compete.com study ranked Facebook as the most used social network service by worldwide monthly active users, followed by MySpace. To allay concerns about privacy, Facebook enables users to choose their own privacy settings and choose who can see specific parts of their profile. From the privacy settings, users can also control who are able to sees information they have shared, as well as who can find them in searches.
